About

Tabitha Cumi Foundation (TCF) is a women-led, faith-based, non-governmental organization with over 70% women representation on the Board of Trustees and duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in 2007.
We are passionately serving over 100,000 marginalized women and girls in over 100 communities of the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Ogun, Lagos, Ebonyi and Benue States with footprints in Kano, Kastina, Zamfara, Sokoto and Bauchi States of Nigeria with funding from local and international donors.
We are looking forward to reaching the whole of Nigeria and the world as a global village.

‘Tabitha Cumi!’ literarily means Woman Arise! It means raising the quality & standard of living of underprivileged women and girls.

We work in five thematic areas:

  1. To promote basic education for children and ‘second chance’ education mentorship for women and adolescent girls.
  2. To improve the lives of under privileged women and girls in hard-to-reach areas through financial education, technology-driven empowerment schemes, and skills.
  3. To create health awareness and deliver health services to marginalized communities as well as prevent, respond and refer gender-based violence to multi-sectoral services leveraging on technology.
  4. To enhance STEM education, digital literacy, and AI skills for women and girls, promoting innovation, bridging the technology gap, and collaborating with tech start-ups to pilot their products within our communities of practice
  5. To carry out advocacy campaigns to relevant stakeholders for improved policies and practices to benefit women and girls and provide technical knowhow on advocacy services.

Tabitha Cumi Foundation has a United Nations ECOSOC special consultative status and belongs to the 100 Women Lobby Group, Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA), Non-Governmental Association for Literacy Support Services (NOGALSS) and Child Protection Network (CPN).
